STUDENTS AT STRAIN-JAPAN R-16 Excited To Meet Ronald McDonald
STUDENTS AT STRAIN-JAPAN R-16 were excited to meet with Ronald McDonald recently in celebration of new playground equipment. Before assembling outside, Ronald presented a special program about physical fitness. He emphasized the importance of eating balanced meals and participating in exercise on a regular basis in order to stay healthy. The topic tied in closely connected with the district’s Wellness Plan that was adopted last year.
The Sullivan McDonald’s had helped the district achieve its goal by offering teachers the opportunity to hold a McTeacher’s Night last spring. The restaurant’s owner, Mickey Avery, had been most supportive of the event. Banners and balloons in the school’s colors were displayed to help promote the fundraiser. Proceeds earned during the evening were donated to the school. The profit from the evening included having a great time visiting with everyone.
