Alexis Guth, a junior at Sullivan High School, has been elected as a delegate to Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri’s first Girl Congress.
Guth joins 27 other Girl Scouts from counties across the entire council’s jurisdiction who will represent the girl members of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. The delegates were nominated and elected based on their involvement in Girl Scouts, school and community.
Girl Congress provides a forum for young women to speak on behalf of their peers and utilize the leadership skills attained through their years in Girl Scouting. Girl Congress will review proposed plans and policies that affect Girl Scouts and consider ways of improving the quality of Girl Scouting.
