The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MOBCA) recently announced that, for the second consecutive year, Hailee Parks of the Sullivan Lady Eagles has been selected to the Class 4 All-State Girls Basketball Team. Parks, a junior, is one of 15 players selected from the 96 teams that compose the Class 4 division of the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
For the second time in three seasons, Hailee led the Eagles to the District championship as she averaged 17.7 points and 9 rebounds per game. She was a unanimous selection to both the Four Rivers All-Conference and District 4 All-District teams.
During the 2007-08 season, Hailee continued to make her mark on the SHS record books as she scored the 1,000th point of her career and moved into second place on the girls’ all-time scoring list. Her current total of 1,458 points trails only the 1,712 points scored by 1988 graduate, Gale Stack, and her career total of 804 rebounds ranks fourth behind the 964 rebounds gathered by 1997 graduate, Traci Roberts.
With this selection, Parks becomes the first girl in Sullivan Lady Eagles basketball history to earn two All-State awards.
