A new piece of equipment known as the “Adventure Series” has been installed in the playground for student use this year and for many years to come. Also, the PTO has replaced swings and purchased a Fun Hoop for the primary grade students. The generous donation of pea gravel from Brecken-ridge Materials added the perfect touch to complete the renovations project.
PTO Chairperson Sharon Breece, spent a great deal of time over the past several months incorporating input from committee members, the community, and faculty in order to bring the renovation project to fruition. K.R. Wilson, the Wells family, Terry and Pat Songer, Mr. Stotler, Chris Edwards, Bobby Messix and Lauren Reed voluntarily provided much needed manpower and expertise to assist her in her efforts.
Also, on hand were the Smith family, the Piofcyk family, the Watson family, Kelly Keen, Chris and Amy Joslin, the Murphy family and other Breece family members, offering additional, valuable assistance.
Proceeds for last spring’s auction and other fund-raisers held throughout the year were utilized to meet the organization’s goal.
As additional monies become available, more equipment will be added to the pieces put in place this summer.
The project truly represents a team effort by the district to assure students have resources both inside and outside the school house walls to enhance the educational experience.
