August 15 will be the first day of school for students, with a beginning time of 8 a.m. and dismissal time at 3 p.m. Bus drivers will be calling all families approximately one week in advance to report the pick up and delivery times. Lunch prices will be $1.45; an extra carton of milk will cost 30 cents.
Open House has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 14, from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. The meeting will begin in the gymnasium with introductions of staff. Parents and students are then invited to tour the building and meet with teachers.
Acquisitions provided by the PTO’s spring fundraising campaign will be highlighted. We have lots and lots to show everyone! Students may leave their school supplies in the classrooms. Around 7:30 p.m., everyone will reconvene in the gymnasium for the awarding of door prizes.
The Board of Education and all school personnel are eager to have classes begin. A considerable amount of work has been done already to create inviting, stimulating classrooms to promote student performance.
Any questions regarding the onset of school may be directed to our office at 627-3243. We look forward to having a large turnout on August 14. Our continued success is largely dependent upon a high rate of parent involvement.
