Strauser’s Repair Now Open
A new business opened Monday in Bourbon. Strauser’s Repair is now open to serve the area with small engine service.
“We just want to help folks a bit,” said co-owner Mike Manwarren.
Manwarren worked at Pratt’s for six years and began to notice a decline in small engine repair shops in the Sullivan and Bourbon areas. So he and his partner, Heith Strauser, decided to open up a business offering the service.
The services offered at Strauser’s Repair range from maintenance for lawn mowers and weedeaters to trimmers and chain saws. They also provide chain sharpening.
Currently, they sell new and used lawn mowers and are willing to provide pick up and delivery for better convenience.
“We are hoping to become tied up with a dealership,” explained Manwarren.
He stated that several dealers are interested and are supposed to visit the shop’s Pine St. location this week.
Strauser’s Repair is located at 362 East Pine St. in Bourbon, adjacent to the police station. The business is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
