The Sullivan City Council was scheduled to meet Tuesday night, June 17, at 7 p.m.
The council had two requests on the agenda from residents/business including a request for a liquor license from a proposed business taking over the former Aldo's Italian restaurant. Representatives from the business known as "Schmidtville," will seek council approval for a liquor license.
The Sullivan Brass Band was scheduled to seek a temporary street closing on Main Street for another band concert.
The council was expected to pay the city bills in the amount of $941,202, which includes $521,633 to Sho-Me Power for electric use.
Three ordinances were on the council agenda for approval that included:
Ord. 3252, which would approved a 15-day contract with N.B> west for paving Sullivan Heights at an estimated cost of $101,180.
Ord. 3252, would approve a change in interior lot lines on property owned by Elbert and Sandra Kitchen and Frances Jordan at the corner of Roscoe and Smith Streets.
Ord. 3253, would approve the rezoning of two lots owned by the city of Sullivan along Franklin and Dunsford Dr. from M-! to C-4. In short this would change from heavy industry to commercial zoning.
The council was posted for closed session on real estate, litigation and personnel following the open meeting.
