Faculty, parents and students will assist with serving breakfast at Applebee’s on Sat., Sept. 22 from 8 a.m - 10 a.m. The menu will consist of scrambled eggs, 3 pancakes, 2 pieces of sausage, orange juice and or coffee. For only $5 each guest will be the recipient of a truly delicious meal and will be contributing support to the school.
Applebee’s has shown its support of education programs for the past several years by allowing school districts to participate in this endeavor with the understanding that a portion of the proceeds will be given back to the school.
With the ever-increasing costs associated with school operation, fundraisers such as this allow a district to provide students with resources that may have had to have been put on hold otherwise. The fundraiser also provides another valuable service. It allows the people in the community to visit with each other in an informal setting.
The exchange of ideas that can take place over a breakfast table may very well account for tremendous improvements over the next several months as the district strives to best meet student needs.
